Sunlight Facts

In honor of the release of the documentary: Sun and Moon, we had some fun on Twitter releasing fun facts about the album. Here they are in total:

  • The song “Saturday’s Gone” was rewritten on a napkin at Zipps, a local sports grill, two days before entering the recording studio #SunlightFacts
  • Tacos Atoyac, http://www.urbanspoon.com/m/r/22/1600775, was the band’s preferred hangout during album production. They went there 9 times #SunlightFacts
  • The song “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” is one of two hymns that appear on the album #SunlightFacts
  • The second hymn on the album is “Keep Near my Rapture’d Soul” which is a paraphrase of “Jesus, Keep me near the Cross” #SunlightFacts
  • The guitar solo for Sunlight, I consider to be the best guitar solo I have ever written #SunlightFact
  • The pipe organ sound in the The Artist is inspired by @Rocknard obsession: the tonality and contrast of the instrument #SunlightFacts
  • Every song on the album references a Pink Floyd song in some way whether through lyrics, guitar licks or song title. #Sunlightfacts
