Mulenga Chella, Graduate of Northrise University is preaching at North Phoenix Baptist Church this Sunday, February 3rd, and you do NOT want to miss it! The NPHX staff and I had lunch with him and he recounted a brief part of his testimony and we were speechless.
Sunday, Mulenga will be sharing from God’s word, along with sharing his testimony about God’s faithfulness amidst tremendous adversity.

Mulenga Chella
Mulenga Chella is a Zambian born pastor. He received God’s call to preach the gospel in his last year of Secondary education. With a deep desire to serve God in full time ministry Mulenga studied at Northrise University for a diploma in theology in 2004 to 2005 as one of the first students since the start of the university. He recently completed his Bachelors in Theology at Northrise University this past December 2012.
Mulenga has served God as a senior pastor for 10 years in the following churches; Luanshya Bread of Life Church 2002, Chankute Bread of Life Church (Bush Area) 2003 to 2004, Mpatamato Bread of Life Church 2005 and Mpatamato Bread of Life Church 2009 to 2012.
In 2006 Mulenga Chella was wrongly charged and imprisoned for 2 years in Tanzania (2006 July to 2008 October), while awaiting judgment. In this prison experience, coupled with the training from Northrise University, Mulenga saw God’s gracious hand in preparing him for the ministry.
