Top Five Music Productivity Apps of 2012

I try to employ only the most useful productivity apps that I can. When you run the kind of year I had, you really don’t have time to mess around with tons of ways to get your music out there. So, here are my top 5 apps I used to run my music this year:

1)WordPress: This seemingly endless tool helps me quickly design this website on the fly. With the myriad of plugins, I can tailor make my blog to function as a music website and a blog.

2)Evernote: This app is a no brainer that lets you sync and share notebooks with yourself on any device and other people. Rocky and I used this extensively leading up to the studio as it allowed us to change and alter lyrics, charts, etc. It’s so useful, that I upgraded to the premium account.

3)Action Method: This is a killer web-based project management tool that allows you to organize massive amounts of data and files. I used this for both my Kickstarter and the Album Release. I recently moved over to Apple’s Reminders app, as the only draw back to Action Method is that is can’t sync with iCal or Google Calendar

4) Mail Chimp: Recently, I’ve made the determination that email is the best way to keep fans of your music informed about what is going on. Mail chimp email system is free, at least for the volume, that I use it. The social media integration is also fantastic, as you can share anything on those fronts as well.

5)Eventbrite: This is a DIY ticketing website that allows people to buy tickets for your concert or event. This platform is outstanding! All angles are covered from an email conformation system to scanner apps for iPhone so you can scan purchased tickets. I used this to sell tickets to the last concert I did and I was very, very impressed with it.
