Last Thursday, I attended a private concert with Steve McCarty, of the Steve Miller Band, that benefited Starshine Academy.
He started the evening off with “The Joker,” of course, and played the hits all night long. “Wild Mountain Honey,” was especially amazing.
It really was a world class event for about 50 people. I was glad I was there.
Why is this important, you ask? Well Steve and I actually go back a few years. I produced a song of his, “Warriors of Light,” awhile ago for a film. And now we are considering a collaboration of EPIC proportions in regard to my upcoming album.
Steve is a great guy. Super humble for someone who wrote, “Fly like an Eagle,” and a bunch of other hit tunes.
