Even the most basic pedal, signal chain, or guitar, can be improved with the Boss GE-7 EQ pedal. I have one on every board. It’s that important.
Trick 1:
The mid boost (pictured) is probably the oldest trick in the book. The Boss EQ pedal is placed BEFORE any overdrive or distortion pedals. You then engage the Boss EQ and the dirt pedals at the same time. This opens up any following pedals allowing them to cut better in the mix. For this reason, we are seeing a lot more newer dirt pedals with built in EQ.
