As I am waiting for schedules to align for mixing, I’ve been working on various other aspects of the Kickstarter rewards.
One of the rewards for Kickstarter was an album documentary and it is shaping up nicely.
Over 10 hours of footage from the recording sessions and interviews that will be edited down to about an hour movie. It contains exclusive behind the scenes insight from the studio and rehearsals, plus interviews that give the back story to every song and some answers to the more elusive lyrical metaphors. If you didn’t receive the documentary as part of your Kickstarter reward, don’t worry, it’ll be available for purchase in the iTunes store.
Also, one of the Kickstarter rewards is a breakfast concert. So, I’ve not only been working on the menu, perfecting my crepes, but working on a great set list full of surprise special guest musicians. If you didn’t get this reward, I’m planning on posting at least one of these acoustic sets online.
Last, I’ve been hard at work on the location of the album release concert. I really want to break the mold on this, so we’re going to play in cool downtown Phoenix location that is usually not for concerts. I’m 70% sure of where we are going to be, however there are a lot of details still to be worked out. I told the manager of the “possible” venue I could get 200 people down to see the show. We can do that, right???
I would be surprise if wedidn’t have more that 200 people. I have never been to anything like this so I don’t have a clue as what will happen.
